Brad Farrow

Brad Farrow

President and Chief Executive Officer

Brad has led performance improvement implementations with international clients since he joined RLG in 1985. He is the author of RLG’s TMP (Theoretical Maximum Performance) process that established RLG as the consultant of choice for capital projects, on and offshore drilling improvement programs, and major plant overhauls, turnarounds and shutdowns. Brad and his family moved to the UK to open RLG’s first international office in 1995. That same year he was appointed Managing Director, and lead RLG’s growth within Europe and Russia. In 2010, Brad was assigned all global operational responsibilities, and in 2015 was appointed CEO and President.

Brad is an avid skier, jogs (almost regularly) and teaches judo to adults and youth once a week. He and his wife Laurel have two children and live in Calgary, Alberta. Brad holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Concordia University in Montreal and an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario.

Dave joined RLG in 1999 assuming responsibility for the management of RLG’s finance and administration while being actively involved in the company’s strategic and business planning processes. While leading the RLG Global Support Team Dave experienced an RLG implementation first hand. Working with an RLG coach, the Global Support Team led improvement initiatives which continue to have a significant impact on performance and the bottom line at RLG. Dave, his wife Alison, and two sons reside in Burnaby, British Columbia. Dave received his Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Saskatchewan prior to receiving his designation as a Chartered Accountant.

Rick joined RLG in 1989. Driven by his passion for coaching clients to achieve peak performance both individually and collectively within their organizations, Rick has contributed to RLG’s growth over the past 27 years. Among his major accomplishments are the establishment of five new business units: Aerospace 2000, Alaska 2003, Offshore Oil and Gas 2009, Capital Projects 2013, and Lower 48 2014. He was also influential in developing RLG’s leadership tools. Rick leads the Americas business units, with a primary focus on synergy and consistency. Additionally, as a senior executive team member, Rick will continue sharing learnings, driving excellence and collaborating with our European, Russian and Australasia teams. Rick and his wife Cheryl have six children and eight grandchildren and live in Salt Lake City, Utah. He earned his MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business at Western University.

Jerry Weisenfelder

Jerry joined RLG in 2004 and was appointed Business Unit Leader over Alaska Operations in 2007 and took over as Business Unit Leader for the Russian Operations in spring 2011. He also led the initial projects that resulted in the creation of RLG’s Australian Business Unit. In 2013, Jerry was appointed Executive Vice President and currently oversees all of Europe, Middle East, Africa and Central Asia. He is based in Aberdeen, Scotland where he resides with his wife, Connie. Jerry earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University and started his career as a process engineer at Brown and Root in Houston, Texas.

Mike Morgan

Mike joined RLG in 1990 and has led projects within the forest products, aerospace, oil and gas, and transportation industries. He led the development of new business in Canada, the United States, Chile, London England, and Russia. In 2013, Mike was appointed Executive Vice President of Capability and Development, spearheading the development of our people, product and resources across our global operations. As a member of RLG’s Senior Executive Team, Mike oversees the leadership and growth of our Australasia business. His global experience has helped us effectively mobilize our resources and product services to take on new opportunities around the world.

Mike, his wife Michelle, and their two children reside in Seattle, Washington. He has an undergraduate degree in Business Administration from the University of Nevada and a Law Degree from the University of Saskatchewan.

Ron Loborec

Ron Loborec

Ron joined RLG in 2017 and is responsible for leading the company towards growth and expansion through business and marketing strategy development. With over 20 years of consulting experience in the energy and resources sectors, his career has spanned numerous countries, and has served some of the world's largest oil, gas, mining and power companies.  Ron spent 15 years as a senior partner with Deloitte serving on the global executive and leading their Canadian Energy & Resources and Global Operational Excellence groups.  

Ron holds an MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management and his Bachelor of Economics from the University of Adelaide. Ron, and his wife Andrea, live in Vancouver, British Columbia. He is an avid runner and foodie, and has three children.

John Shewfelt

Vice President, Capability and Development

John joined RLG in 2007 after a 12-year mechanical engineering career. In his ten years with RLG, he has worked in mining, chemical processing, manufacturing and forestry. He is a two-time recipient of RLG’s Best of the Best award for implementations in the manufacturing and mining industries and is co-developer of RLG’s Maintenance Excellence™ methodology. John has led tremendous progress over four years in RLG’s product development, marketing, media, and the professional development of our people globally and was appointed in 2017 to the wider Capability & Development portfolio to enhance leadership and management of RLG’s people, product and resources.

John earned his MBA at the University of Alberta and his Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Victoria. He is a professional engineer and a Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional. John, his wife Niki and four daughters live in Burnaby, British Columbia.

Taylor joined RLG in 1995 as part of RLG’s expansion to the US and led some of RLG’s largest team projects in the oil and gas, and aerospace industries. For five years, Taylor led RLG’s US Aerospace Business Unit out of Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas and in 2012 relocated to Australia to lead RLG’s Australasia Business unit. Taylor and his wife Sally currently reside in Texas. They have one son. Taylor holds business degrees from Texas Christian University and the University of Miami, Florida, and an Executive Coaching accreditation from the London School of Coaching.

Since joining RLG in 2006, Glyn has partnered with clients to deliver outstanding results, and has contributed to the development of RLG’s toolkit. He is a two-time recipient of RLG’s Best of the Best for his implementations at American Airlines, Aircraft Maintenance and ConocoPhillips, Alaska Capital Projects. He now leads projects in upstream and downstream oil and gas in the Lower 48. Glyn and his wife Michele have three children and live in Houston, Texas. Glyn was a collegiate athlete at Brigham Young University Hawaii where he received an undergraduate degree in Psychology, emphasis in Organizational Behavior. He earned his MPA from Brigham Young University, Marriott Business School in Provo, Utah.

Kirk Gibson

Kirk joined RLG in 2006 and became a Business Unit Leader of the Alaska oil and gas group in 2011. He has led assessments in Alaska, Algeria, and Australia and supported implementations in Alaska and Norway. Prior to RLG, Kirk served as an Army Officer in Germany, Kosovo, and Iraq. Today, Kirk and his wife Lindsay enjoy Anchorage, Alaska with their three children. Kirk received his Bachelor’s degree from Lehigh University and his International MBA (Spanish) from the Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina.

Rob Gulbronson

Rob joined RLG in 1995 and has since implemented and supervised work in a variety of industries in Canada, the US and Europe. He currently oversees RLG work on capital projects within the petrochemical industry, including working with integrated client teams during the detailed engineering and execution phases of projects. Rob and his wife Caroline live in Toronto, Ontario. They have three sons. Rob is a Professional Engineer and he holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Waterloo. Rob also has an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business at Western University.

Roger joined RLG in 1988 and has since worked in a variety of industries across Canada, the US and Europe, including oil and gas, health care, transportation, printing, publishing and the public sector. Roger has led the US and European operating divisions of RLG. He is a director of Technical Limit Services Ltd., a performance coaching organization specializing in offshore drilling operations. Roger and his wife Carol have three children and reside in Calgary, Alberta. Roger holds a Bachelor of Religious Education and a Master of Arts in New Testament from Providential Theological Seminary.

Michael joined RLG in 2007, and immediately made an impact in his first project in the North American Aerospace industry, receiving RLG’s Best of the Best and Rookie of the Year awards. He has supported implementations in oil and gas, and mining since 2012 and now leads our business in Western Australia. Michael brings a passion for working with all levels of an organization, solid understanding of our core tools and processes, and an impressive leadership presence with our clients and project teams.

Michael earned his MBA at the Moore School of Business, a Juris Doctor from the South Carolina School of Law and a BA in Psychology at Texas Christian University. Michael and his wife, and their two children, live in Perth, Australia..

Chris joined RLG in 1996 and has worked in the oil and gas (upstream, midstream, and downstream), manufacturing, forestry, and health care industries. He now leads a business unit focused on turnaround and capital project delivery. Chris developed RLG’s Project Excellence™ (Px™) model for the delivery of Planning, Optimization and Execution for capital projects. Chris has lived and worked in Canada, Scotland and now the USA with RLG. Chris has indomitable energy and has been a volunteer youth leader over the past 26 years. Chris and his wife Jeni have five children and live in Chicago, Illinois. Chris earned his Bachelor and Master of Science degrees from Brigham Young University.

Bill joined RLG in 1995 and has worked in the oil and gas industry for over 28 years; both on and offshore. He has coached and led implementations throughout the world, including the US, Canada, Brazil, UK, Africa, Asia, and Australia. He is a founding member of the non-profit organization Christianson Syndrome Association (CSA). Bill and his wife Debbie have three children and live in Cypress, Texas. He currently oversees the Russian Business Unit involving several oil and gas clients. Andre and his wife Julia currently reside in Toronto, Canada. Andre holds a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Bauman Moscow State Technical University and an Enterprise Crisis Management diploma from the International Banking Institute, St. Petersburg, Russia.

Scott joined RLG in 1996 and has worked in the United Kingdom, Norway, and Denmark assisting clients improve their business through their people. Ana joined in 1996, motivated by RLG’s focus of connecting the front line to the bottom line. She has led our initiatives within RLG Defense and aerospace. Ana is a Rotarian and the National Board Chair Elect for Spina Bifida. Ana and her husband Steve currently reside in Castle Rock, Colorado. Ana earned her Bachelor of Arts degree jointly from Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri and Richmond College in London, England. She also received her Jurist Doctorate jointly from the University of New Mexico and Exeter School of Law in Exeter, England.

Don was elected to RLG International’s Board of Directors in October of 2014. He has been Managing Partner of MacPherson Leslie & Tyerman of Regina, Saskatchewan since January 2002 and has acted as counsel for the formation, organization and operation of a number of government and industry sponsored projects in the mining, oil and gas, steel, commodity and heavy equipment industries. Don has served on public, private and not-for-profit boards recommending best practices for effective governance and oversight, efficient process, proper due diligence, regulatory compliance, and meeting reporting and disclosure requirements. In 1998, Don was appointed Queen’s Counsel and has been selected as one of the Best Lawyers in Canada annually since 2006.

Garry was elected to RLG International’s Board of Directors in October of 2014. Garry is a retired senior executive with over 40 years of experience building and developing global businesses in manufacturing, energy and infrastructure. Since 1984, Garry has utilized RLG International to enhance the performance and the leadership capabilities of his organizations, at Dome Petroleum, Amoco, TransCanada and Toromont Energy Systems. He holds a Bachelor of Science (Honors) in Mechanical Engineering from Queen's University and he has completed post graduate studies at Harvard Business School, the University of Calgary and the University of Michigan.

After 27 years with RLG, Rick left full-time operations in 2011. He was initially involved in the start-up of RLG and became a Partner and Managing Director of the company in 1988. Rick was responsible for the development of RLG’s FAIR Model, and Operating Rhythm and RLG’s initial growth into the USA. Today, Rick continues as the Chairman of RLG’s Board of Directors and chairs the Compensation and Audit committees. Rick is a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD) and currently sits on both public and non-profit boards. He has a passion for philanthropy and travel and has been married to Marlene for 40 years. Rick acquired his MBA in 1984 from the Richard Ivey School of Business at Western University.

Mr. Doug Harris joins RLG’s Executive Advisory Council as a senior executive with over 37 years of experience in the oil and gas, and minerals industries including extensive international experience in refining operations in Russia, Western Europe, Asia, Africa and the US with direct accountability for multiple complex refining operations. He is currently the CEO of RRT Global, a Russian-based consulting firm in the oil refining industry.

During his time as TNK-BP’s VP of Refining Operations, Mr. Harris shared his experiences in delivering step change performance improvements in the delivery of TAR and Capital Projects at refineries in Ryazan, Russia and Carson, California. These two refineries had differing cultures, work environments and historical experiences.  He recounted his key learnings about the ownership, engagement and required participation of leaders and how leadership involvement is critical to the success of the team as well as the successful execution and overall delivery of these projects. Mr. Harris established strategic direction, developed tactical elements to support those strategies and rallied teams to embrace objectives while improving organizational, business and technical efficiencies.  He has a proven track record of delivering excellent results in large complex businesses and projects.

Mr. Bob Reding joins RLG’s Executive Advisory Council with over 30 years of experience in the airline industry, and has successfully led and contributed to the management and operation of several airline companies. After retiring from American Airlines where he served as the Executive Vice President - Operation in early 2012, Mr. Reding started a Consulting and Advisory Company, RWR & Associates LLC which is providing services to several leading multinational aerospace companies.

As EVP Operations at American Airlines, Mr. Reding first engaged RLG at a tumultuous time when competitive labor costs were driving airline companies to increase productivity and efficiency more than ever before. He was determined to work with maintenance labor unions and be globally competitive in quality, schedule and cost. His focus on front-line schedule delivery was a perfect match for RLG’s Operating Rhythm™ and collaborative team approach.

Mr. Bill Ambrose joins RLG’s Executive Advisory Council as a versatile executive whose international career has provided a wealth of experience and expertise in the areas of workforce engagement, operational excellence, capital project management, crisis management, and strategy development with effective implementation. Currently, he is consulting with businesses to grow and improve their performance. In his previous roles with Transocean, Ltd., he served most recently as the Senior Vice President, Technical Services. In this role, Mr. Ambrose oversaw engineering, maintenance, and reliability of the fleet as well as asset divestitures, a drilling rig construction program valued at over $6 billion, and a brownfield project portfolio up to a $2 billion annual spend.

While at Transocean, Mr. Ambrose worked with RLG on several important projects including: an offshore operations program on drilling rigs focused to enhance planning and execution behaviors to deliver increase equipment reliability, reduce the Between Well Maintenance durations, and the embedding of a stage gate process for the company’s upgrade and repair project work.

Mr. Tom Hendricks joins RLG’s Executive Advisory Council as a seasoned executive with broad operational and technical expertise in the aviation industry. He is the owner of TL Hendricks Aviation Strategies, LLC, a strategic consulting firm based in Mt Pleasant, South Carolina. From 2012 through 2016, he served as President and CEO of the National Air Transportation Association (NATA), representing over 2,300 aviation businesses globally.

Mr. Hendricks gained personal experience and deep appreciation for RLG’s results-focused consulting and operating style during a tour of American Airlines operations in Dallas and Oklahoma, where he saw firsthand RLG coaches deploy in line and base maintenance operations. Throughout his career, Mr. Hendricks consistently delivered significant impact and results through strategic leadership and he continues to embody RLG’s spirit and commitment to “connect the front line to the bottom line”.

Mr. Kevin Brown joins RLG’s Executive Advisory Council with more than 36 years of industry experience. Before his retirement in February 2017, he served as LyondellBasell’s Executive Vice President of Manufacturing and Refining, one of the world’s largest plastics, chemical and refining companies. In this role, Mr. Brown was responsible for the refining business including crude oil purchasing, product sales, central engineering, and capital project execution functions. He was globally responsible for 40+ manufacturing sites in 13 countries, including the LyondellBasell refinery in Houston, Texas.

In October 2015, LyondellBasell partnered with RLG in the development of the global turnaround excellence model and the rollout of the various sites. Mr. Brown was the key sponsor for RLG’s support on major global project initiatives. His leadership was fundamental to the success of these projects. Mr. Brown focused his strategy to achieve excellence and drive performance by building a culture of continuous improvements and implementing visibility of leading indicators.

Mr. James Bowzer joins RLG’s Executive Advisory Council with over 35 years of experience in the upstream energy industry and is currently a Director & prior Chief Executive Officer of Baytex Energy Corp. Prior to his roles at Baytex, Mr. Bowzer was a Vice President for Marathon Oil Corporation with responsibility for delivery on key shale plays throughout N. America. He has guided performance improvements across disciplines by forming strategies and concepts into actionable goals across organizations. Mr. Bowzer believes a decisive/action-oriented style and positive enthusiasm, along with humility and process discipline will lead to superior results.

Mr. Bowzer has worked with RLG for over 20 years. He is passionate about RLG principles of focus, accountability, involvement and leadership feedback. He has improved performance using RLG tools such as monthly business reviews, leadership development and tracking key performance indicators.

Gary Yesavage

Mr. Gary Yesavage joins RLG’s Executive Advisory Council with 42 years of experience in the oil and chemicals industries. He most recently served as the President of Chevron Global Manufacturing. For seven years, he led the company's seven refineries and managed a team of 5,200 employees. Chevron U.S. refineries have a total capacity of 1 million barrels per day. Non-U.S. refineries including Asian Joint Venture refineries account for another 1.2 million barrels per day.

Since 2012, RLG has worked with Mr. Yesavage in seven refineries. The nature of this work involved improving turnaround predictability, capital project execution, and plant reliability leading to higher Solomon quartile results. During this work, he showed his passion about boardwalks, visibility of front line contribution, results and accountability.
