John Shewfelt

John joined RLG in 2007 after a 12-year mechanical engineering career. In his 15 years with RLG, he has worked in pipelines, mining, chemical processing, manufacturing and forestry. For 8 years John served as RLG's trainer and advanced through increasing responsibility to become our VP, Capability and Development, leading tremendous progress in product development, marketing, media, leadership of our SMEs and Specialists team, and oversight of professional development of our people globally. He is a two-time recipient of RLG’s Best of the Best award for implementations in the manufacturing and mining industries, and received the RLG President's award in 2019. Back in Operations since 2021, John was promoted to Partner in 2022.

John earned his MBA at the University of Alberta and his Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Victoria. He is a professional engineer and a Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional. John and his family live in the Vancouver area.
