RLG International is pleased to announce that Mr. Bob Reding will serve as a member of the Executive Advisory Council. The Executive Advisory Council is a committee of senior executives who serve as product and service advisors from the upstream and downstream oil and gas, aerospace manufacturing and airline industries.
Mr. Reding has over 30 years of experience in the airline industry, and has successfully led and contributed to the management and operation of several airline companies. After retiring from American Airlines where he served as the Executive Vice President - Operation in early 2012, Mr. Reding started a Consulting and Advisory Company, RWR & Associates LLC which is providing services to several leading multinational aerospace companies. He also joined the Board of Directors of Global Eagle Entertainment, Inc., a public company engaged in Satellite Connectivity and Inflight Entertainment to airlines around the world, and StandardAero Aviation Holdings, Inc. which has served the engine maintenance, repair and overhaul needs of the commercial, business and military aviation markets for over 100 years.
Prior to his duties as EVP Operations, Mr. Reding served as Senior Vice President-Technical Operations, American Airlines; Chief Operations Officer, American Eagle; President and CEO, Canadian Regional Airlines; President and CEO, Reno Air; Vice President of Flight Operations, Midway Airlines; and Vice President of Flight Operations, Air Florida. He holds FAA Air Transport Pilot Ratings for Douglas DC-9/MD-80 and Boeing 737 series aircraft and has accumulated over 10,000 hours as a commercial pilot.
As EVP Operations at American Airlines, Mr. Reding first engaged RLG at a tumultuous time when competitive labor costs were driving airline companies to increase productivity and efficiency more than ever before. He was determined to work with maintenance labor unions and be globally competitive in quality, schedule and cost. His focus on front-line schedule delivery was a perfect match for RLG’s Operating Rhythm and collaborative team approach. Mr. Reding’s expertise and connection to the airline industry will bring valuable perspective to RLG and its clients.
