This client, an offshore driller in the Gulf of Mexico, was eager to improve between well maintenance (BWM) performance, that is, the maintenance on the subsea blow-out preventer (BOP). One key success criteria was to reduce the rig downtime associated with this maintenance through both reduction of the planned maintenance duration, and the frequency of both planned and unplanned events.
