This airplane manufacturer has a process called shimming. The “Formula One” Shimming Team is a prime example of what can be accomplished when everyone pulls together to make a difference. Comprised of assemblers, leads and support functions, with full management support, this group, using RLG’s TMP^™ process, redesigned the shimming process to reduce it 82%.
