This North American refinery had a poor track record in delivering their turnarounds (TARs) on-time and on-budget. There were visible symptoms of underlying gaps in effective planning and preparation. Similarly, communication and coordination between departments was described as deeply lacking. Historically, turnarounds exceeded budget by 30% and duration by 48%. RLG was brought in to help.
