RLG is pleased to announce the appointment of John Shewfelt as our newest Partner, effective August 1, 2022. In addition to leading our team working across a pipeline construction megaproject, John will be responsible for strengthening client relationships and business development strategies alongside RLG’s Managing Partners and Partners.

John has 30 years of industrial and technical experience in engineering, operations and maintenance, project management, leadership, and coaching. Since joining RLG in 2007, John has become an integral member of our team, where he started as a project manager, advanced to Team Lead, and then moved into a Global Support position in 2013 as our Trainer. In 2015, this scope expanded to Manager of Training & Product Development, and in 2017 John became the Vice President, Capability & Development. In concert with the specialists, John transformed how the C&D group supported, challenged, and inspired us to think differently, learn as an organization, and present our materials and solutions to our customers. Passionate about the intersection of Operations, Maintenance and Reliability, John is a co-creator and champion of RLG Maintenance Excellent (Mx) methodology.
In 2021, John repositioned into Operations to lead a Project Performance Management (PPM) implementation within a Canadian pipeline construction megaproject. Through the confidence gained during the pilot phase, this client expanded the RLG team across much of the pipeline’s length and seven prime contractors and further into the wider pipeline network.
