Mr. James Bowzer joins RLG’s Executive Advisory Council with over 35 years of experience in the upstream energy industry and is currently a Director & prior Chief Executive Officer of Baytex Energy Corp. Prior to his roles at Baytex, Mr. Bowzer was a Vice President for Marathon Oil Corporation with responsibility for delivery on key shale plays throughout N. America. He has guided performance improvements across disciplines by forming strategies and concepts into actionable goals across organizations. Mr. Bowzer believes a decisive/action-oriented style and positive enthusiasm, along with humility and process discipline will lead to superior results.

Mr. Bowzer has worked with RLG for over 20 years. He is passionate about RLG principles of focus, accountability, involvement and leadership feedback. He has improved performance using RLG tools such as monthly business reviews, leadership development and tracking key performance indicators.
